Charles R. Richert, formerly of New Richmond, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001 at Baldwin Area Medical Center. He was born in Amery Aug. 15, 1940 to Arnold and Adella (Meyer) Richert.
He married Alice Paulson who preceded him in death as sis his parents. Charles worked for 3M for many years before losing his battle with MS.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel and Michael; two daughters, Debborah and Laura; brother James (Genevieve) Richert of New Richmond; sister Marie (Charles) Nelson of Blaine, Minn. and several grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 28 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in New Richmond with Rev. John W. Schenck officiating. Organist was Loretta Kummerfeldt and soloist was Beckie Lueck.
Casketbearers were Scott Albrecht, DuWayne Richert, Gregory Richert, Kenneth Richert, David Nelson, and David Ohrt. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.
