EARL REUBEN ROTHE
July 12, 1932 - April 19, 2003

Earl Reuben Rothe was born on July 12, 1932 to his parents Oscar and Alma (nee Klawitter) Rothe in Emerald.

Earl grew up living on a farm and attended school in the Forest area. It was here that he started dating Ilene Thompson. In October of 1954 Earl enlisted in the Army. He served his country until September of 1956, and on Dec. 1, of that same year he married Ilene E. Thompson in Deer Park. The couple was blessed with three children.

After marriage the couple lived in East St. Paul, Minn., then in the Forest area, and eventually moved to Deer Park. Earl was employed with the St. Croix County Highway Department for over 33 years. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin on Lake Magnor and loved to fish.

On Saturday morning, April 19, 2003, Earl passed away at his home in Deer Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Alma and his wife Ilene.

Earl is survived by his children, Sandra Rothe, Susan (DuWane) Snyder, and Darrin (Kristin) Rothe; grandchildren, Johnathan, Joseph and Jeffrey Snyder and Amber Rothe; brothers, Clarence (Vergil), Ralph (Violet), and Robert (Gloria) Rothe; sisters, Ethel (Bill) Bjorklund, Delores (Ed) Paasch, Carol (Dennis) Paulson, and Janet (Richard) Locke.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 25 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park with Rev. Tim Coppersmith officiating. Jeanine Carlson provided music. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.

Williamson Funeral Home in Amery assisted the family with funeral arrangements.

Services for Earl Rothe, 70, were Friday, April 25, at St. Paul Lutheran church, Deer Park, with the Rev. Tim Coppersmith officiating.

Jeanine Carlson provided music.

Interment was in the Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park, with Williamson Funeral Home, Amery, assisting the family.
