ALICE A. SCHREINER
June 25, 1911 - August 3, 2004

Alice A. Schreiner, 93, Hudson, died Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at the Christian Community Home, Hudson.

Services were Monday, August 9, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Hudson, with Pastor Joan Goebel officiating.

Music was provided by the Commitment Quartet accompanied by Jodell Krause and special music provided by Adele Dolan.

A visitation was held Sunday, August 8, from 4-7 p.m. at Bakken-Young Funeral Home, Hudson.

Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Mahtomedi, MN, with Tim Schreiner, Amy Schreiner, Christina Baker, Jack Hardenbrook, Peter Post, Mary Post, Jeanette Plummer and Dave Naegeli as the pallbearers.

Honorary bearers were Kevin Baker, Keith Hardenbrook, Dallas Hardenbrook, Larry Schreiner, Darrell Schreiner, David Griffith, KC Jones, Al Schultz and Mike Cashman.

Arrangements were with Bakken-Young Funeral and Cremation Services of Hudson.

Alice A. Schreiner was born the daughter of Harry and Clara (Sheeks) Hardenbrook on June 25, 1911, in St. Paul. She was raised in St. Paul's eastside and graduated from Johnson high school.

On October 23, 1947, she married Elmer Schreiner.

Upon her husband's retirement from 3M in 1978, they moved to Deer Park. After her husband's death in 1987, she moved to Hudson to be with her son, Jim.

She had always been active in her church. In her later years she volunteered at the Christian Community Home and her church.

In 2002 she was named an "Outstanding Senior Citizen Finalist" for St. Croix County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Becky) of the United States Air Force; two grandchildren; brother, Clinton Hardenbrook of Fredrick, MD.
