SHARON L. SELVIG
April 17, 1943 - March 8, 2012

Sharon L. Selvig, age 68, of Clear Lake died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, March 8, 2012.

Sharon Lee Selvig was born on April 17, 1943, in Sioux Creek, WI, the daughter of Clarence and Alice (Severson) Gilbert. She grew up in the Chetek area and graduated from Chetek High School in 1961.

Sharon was married to Charles Repka in Pine City, MN o December 20, 1963 and together they raised three children, Jodi, Dondi and Sean.

Through the years, Sharon has lived and worked at various jobs Rice Lake, WI, St. Paul, MN, and Davenport, IA, eventually making her home in Deer Park, WI. The past 15 years she has worked as a dietary aid at the Golden Age Manor in Amery, WI.

On October 22, 1994, Sharon was married to Richard Selvig at the Little Falls Lutheran Church and together they made their home in clear Lake, WI. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church there and was involved in making prayer shawls and serving on the ladies aid. Sharon also was a quilter at the Golden Age Manor and served with the Clear Lake VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, baking cookies, reading, taking care of her cats and spending time with her grandchildren.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Alice Gilbert.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Selvig of Clear Lake; children, Jodi Voght of Clear Lake, Dondi (Tim) Kuhn of Amery, Sean (Cheryl) Repka of Amery, Jamie Selvig of Clear Lake and Lonnie (Melinda) Selvig of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Tim Repka, Jennifer (Ryan) Krohn, Tyler Voght, Adam Kuhn, Brianna Dawley, Emily Kuhn, Ashley Repka, Alexis Repka, Matt McCarty, Aundra Selvig, Drake Selvig and Austin Selvig; great-grandchildren, Kirsten Krohn and Braydon Voght; brother, Kent Gilbert of Eau Claire; many relatives, family and friends.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 11 am from the First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, with Pastor Bryan Anderson officiating.

Music was provided by Brian Wick and Jim and Maryanna Nelson.

Casketbearers were Tim Repka, Matt McCarty, Lonnie Selvig, Jamie Selvig, Paul Spoentgen and Tyler Voght.

Interment was in the Little Falls Cemetery, Alden Township.

Scheuermann-Hammer Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
