Services for Violet Taber, 83, were Tuesday, December 28, at 7 p.m. at the Williamson Funeral Home, Amery. The Rev. Daniel Voth officiated.
Burial was at the Calvary Cemetery, Deer Park, with casketbearers Travis Tulgren, Darren Taber, Logan Taber, Candi Taber, Tina Monroe and Alison Kastens.
Williamson Funeral Home, Amery, assisted the family with arrangements.
Violet Lillian Taber was born on July 16, 1921, in Clayton, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary (Pichelman) Friday. She grew up in Clayton and was baptized and confirmed at the Silver Creek Church. She graduated from Clayton high school in 1939.
On June 23, 1943, she was married to Cecil H. Taber in Cameron and three children were born.
They made their home in Barron and later Clayton and then Deer Park.
She worked at Stella Cheese and also spent time as a cook for the Clayton school district. From 1960 until 1972 she was employed by Fabri-Tek in Amery.
She died at Golden Age Manor, Amery, on December 25, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil Taber; infant son, Lonnie; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Vonnie (Larry) Webb; son, Dale (Colleen) Taber; brother, Ervin Friday; sisters, Rhoda Engle and Hilda Christenson; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
