THEA HELENA THOMPSON
October 1, 1866 - March 24, 1953

Thea Helena (Amundson) Thompson was born the daughter of Carl and Johanna (Hanson) Amundson October 1st, 1866 in Christiana, Norway. She journeyed to this country with her parents at the age of 1 1/2 years. They settled on a farm three miles north of Deer Park Wis., where she grew to womanhood. She was confirmed at the East Immanuel Lutheran church at the age of 14. On August 27, 1887 she was married to the late Thomas E. Thompson who preceded her in death December 29, 1924. Her death Tuesday, March 24, 7:14 a.m. at the age of 86 left the following survivors: one daughter, Elvina J. (Mrs. S. O. Severson) of Long Beach, California; three sons, Harry A., Fargo, North Dakota; Carl T., and William H., both of Deer Park. A stepdaughter, Helen G., (Mrs. Berger Johnson) preceded her in death October 1937. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anna Anderson of Hudson, Wis., and Mrs. Laura Johnson of Clear Lake, Wis., two brothers, Charles Amundson of Little Falls, Wis., and Hans Amundson of Deer Park, Wis., twenty four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Deer Park, Wis., with the Rev. Brown in charge. Mrs. Alec Johnson, soloist sang two songs, "In the Garden" and "At the Cross", with Mrs. H. Anderson at the organ. Pallbearers were Carl Thompson Jr., Kermit Thompson, Douglas Thompson, Roland Thompson, (her grandsons) and Vernon Amundson and Frank Warner. Burial was in the Calvary cemetery.

Severson, Long Beach, Cal., Miss Dorothy Severson of Los Angeles, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Royu Aronson of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cooke, Boyceville, Mrs. Helen Tobin, Amery, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Torgerson, Mrs. Anna Anderson, Miss Ruth Anderson, Mrs. Ray Cleveland, her daughters, Marion and Margorie, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Vick of Hudson, Will Tobin of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jones, Cylon, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warner of Glenwood City.
