ALFRED HOWARD UTGARD
July 7, 1896 - March 17, 1947

Alfred Howard Utgard passed away at the Alexian Brothers hospital, St. Louis, Mo., and the remains were brought to New Richmond and taken to the Brady Utgard home in Star Prairie, with a service at the home March 21, with Rev. C. Holte officiating and a service at the M.E. church in Deer Park with Rev. Marks officiating. Interment was in Calvary cemetery, Deer Park. L. H. Beebe had charge of the arrangements.

Alfred Utgard was born in Deer Park July 7, 1896, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brady Utgard. He spent his childhood at Star Prairie and attended the NRHS. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Masonic lodge and of the Scottish Rites.

He was married to Marge Zelazny, Floodwood, Minn. He is survived by his wife, his son, Herbert, and daughter, Rose, and granddaughter, Sandy; also his father, Brady Utgard of Star Prairie; six brothers, Bert and Stanley, Star Prairie; Dewey, Stanwood, Wash.; Charles, Portland, Ore.; John, Seattle, Wash.; Clifford, Portland, Ore.; four sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Ted Anderson), Seattle, Wash.; Bertha (Mrs. Helmer Johnson), New Richmond; Olive (Mrs. Clarence Polfus) and Lucile, (Mrs. Lester Geise), Star Prairie.

Casket bearers included Dr. J. H. Armstrong, Edwin Larson, H. A. Irle, Goodwin Albertson, Arnold Bottolfson, Steve Prusak, Archie Miller, Harold Keane.

Out of town relatives and friends attending the service: Mr. and Mrs. Aug. J. Christianson, Grantsburg, Wis.; Vernie Utgard, Francis Doland, St. Louis, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Sam Fisher, Robbinsdale, Minn., Mrs. O. A. Swan, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. John Zelazny, Mrs. Joseph Zelazny, Floodwood, Minn.
