LUTHER "BUD" VETTER

Services for Luther "Bud" Vetter, 73, were Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at St. Paul's Lutheran church, Deer Park, with the Rev. Tim Coppersmith officiating.

Jeanine Carlson and Cindy Nelson provided music, and Bud's grandchildren served as casketbearers.

Williamson Funeral Home, Amery, assisted the family with arrangements.

Luther "Bud" Werner Vetter was born on Nov. 9, 1929, to George and Anita (Wienke) Vetter. He was born and raised on the family farm near Emerald graduating from Glenwood high school in 1947.

He farmed with his father until 1957 when he moved to Deer Park. He resided there until 1989 when he moved to Clear Lake.

Since his retirement in 1994, he has lived in Amery, wintering in Apache Junction, Ariz.

He was active in St. Paul's Lutheran church serving as an officer and volunteer of church organizations.

He is survived by his special friend, Nancy Hatella; his children, Wanda (Glen) Schreiber, Gerald (Christine) Vetter, and Anne (Craig) Murphy; eight grandchildren; his ex-wife, Beverly Vetter; and sisters, Avis Weintraub and Doris Dierks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Anita Vetter; and brother George Vetter, Jr.
