Alvin M. Walby

Services were held Friday, May 13, at 11 AM for Alvin M. Walby, 69, from the East Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. Susan Carloss officiating.

Singer was Floyd Matson, accompanied by Mary Lou Peterson.

Pallbearers were George Peterson, Freedolph Wahlstrom, Floyd Fouks, Daniel Boe, Warren Jorgenson and Howard Johnson.

Interment was at East Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with the Williamson Funeral Home of Amery in charge.

Alvin M. Walby was born July 20, 1913, in Black Brook township, the son of Christ and Mally Walby.

He was baptized and confirmed at the East Immanuel Lutheran church. He attended school at the Northview School in Black Brook.

In 1942, he was inducted into the U.S. Army and served overseas for almost four years during World War II.

When discharged from the service in 1946, Mr. Walby returned to Black Brook where he farmed.

He died Tuesday, May 10, 1982, at ARVM Hospital.
