LOIS WARNER
August 27, 1926 - October 29, 2010

Lois Ellen Warner was born August 27, 1926, at her parents' home in Stanton Township in St. Croix County, Wis. She was the daughter of Fred and Elsa (Bethke) Dubois. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park, Wis. After graduation from high school, she went to River Falls Normal School and became a teacher. On June 25, 1947, she was united in marriage to Delmond Warner and to this union four children were born. They farmed together in rural Deer Park for many years. Lois started as a rural school teacher and then took time away from teaching to raise her children. She then went back to school, got her teaching degree and taught fifth grade in Roberts for many years.

She worked with 4-H as her children were growing up and was a Sunday school teacher and active in other ways at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park. Lois was a gardener, a baker, enjoyed sewing and reading. Besides the care and love shown her family, she was also very generous in supporting charities and others in need.

After the death of her husband she continued living independently. She moved to Willow Ridge Healthcare just a few weeks ago and died there on Friday, October 29, 2010, at the age of 84 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister Helen Henke, and brother, Donald Dubois.

Left to mourn are her children, Duane (Joanne) Warner, Arla (David) Railsback, Walter Warner and Paul (Denise) Warner; sisters Carol Barsch and LaVonne Hartman; nine grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 4, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Deer Park with Pastor Michael Scholz officiating. Soloist was Jeanine Carlson. Organist was Amanda Staberg. Casketbearers were Dan Warner, Warren Henke, Dennis Henke, Donvie Dubois, Michael Hartman and Brian Hartman. Interment was at the Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.
