SHANNON A. WILBUR
November 27, 1928 - October 14, 2009

Graveside services for Shannon A. Wilbur, 80, were held at Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park on Monday, October 19, at 2 p.m.

Clear Lake American Legion and VFW provided military honors.

Williamson-White Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Amery, assisted with arrangements.

Shannon A. Wilbur was born in rural New Richmond on November 27, 1928, the son of Reuben and Mable Wilbur.

He was a dairy farmer near Emerald until entering the U.S. Army to serve during the Korean conflict. He served from January 1951 until September 1952.

He married Carol Talmadge on December 31, 1952 and they lived most of their lives in rural Deer Park where he worked as a truck driver.

The past two years they have lived in Florida with their daughter and most recently he was at the Imperial Health Care Center in Naples, Fla., where he died on October 14, 2009.

Surviving him are his wife, Carol; daughter, Kathleen (Josef) Kerkai; brother, Garland Wilbur; sister, Roszetta Harer; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
