The Deer Park Library has free Wi-Fi internet access.

April 1, 2009 - The Code of Conduct for the Deer Park Public Library is now online.

Effective October 1, 2004 patrons must have their library card with them to access the library computers. The replacement cost for a lost library card is $1.00.

Donated Materials:
Stop by to shop at our perpetual book sale of donated and weeded books at the library. Used hard covers, paperbacks and VHS tapes are a bargain at $1.00 a bag. Free copies of weeded magazines and well-read books (in other words, very used) can be found in the Community Room.

We accept donations of any size from a single item to several boxes. Items should be clean, odor-free, and in like-new condition.

School Supplies
The library has free school supplies to anyone who needs them. Just ask a librarian.

Free Admission! Extreme Couponing Class

Cheryl Kemling has been doing extreme couponing for the past year. The picture above shows items she got for nearly free in one day: over $50.00 in merchandise. Call 715-269-5464 to sign up for her class.

Nothing could be finer than breakfast in the diner, but on March 1, 2009 it was at the Deer Park Community Center across the street from the Deer Park Library.

Deer Park area residents treated themselves to a pancake breakfast on Sunday morning, March 1, 2009. The annual fund-raising event held in late February or early March is hosted by the Deer Park Public Library.

Join us at 10:00 am every Monday for a half hour exercise class.

New! Half hour aerobic exercise classes every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00pm and Saturdays at noon.

Start with the basics. Learn how and why mutual funds work, as well as why they're important to helping you meed your long-term goals.

March 24 6:30 to 8:00pm Take stock in the Market

Investing in stocks can be easier than you think. The key is understanding long-term strategies for success. This seminar will explain basic stock terminology, as well as time-proven strategies created to help you reach your financial goals.

April 28 6:30 to 8:00pm How to Raise a Money-Smart Child

Giving your children or grandchildren a primer on money management skills can have a positive effect their entire lives. You'll learn how to teach them about financial goal-setting and self discipline and basics of making wise money choices.

May 26 6:30 to 8:00pm Right on the Money, Creating a Monthly Budget

When it comes to money, planning is everything, but knowing where to start can be the hardest part. You'll learn how to set up a budget that works for you. That way, you can start saving for the things you want while making your money work for you.

June 23 6:30 to 8:00pm Paying for Education

Before you know it, your little ones will be going to college, which means now is the time to start saving for their education. You'll learn strategies to use today to save for their education.


We Now Have Wireless Internet!

The Deer Park Library now offers wireless DSL internet to the public. If you have a wireless capable laptop, you will no longer have to wait for a library computer to become available to use the internet. Contact us if you have questions.
