Tellijohn Barn Fire

The Clear Lake Fire Department battled a barnfire in St. Croix county this
morning. The fire was reported at the Tellijohn farm at 2030 280th street at
about 6:45am. According to witnesses at the scene, the Tellijohns were about
to start milking their herd of 80 cows when they noticed the fire in the
haymow of the barn. Along with help from neighbors, they were able to safely
remove the livestock from the barn. Firefighters were on scene for several
hours, but the barn was destroyed. The cause of the fire is still not known,
and it is believed that no injuries occurred. The Clear Lake ambulance also
responded to the scene of the fire.
