St. Croix County's Farm-City Day was hosted this year at the Croes Farm, just west of Deer Park 1 mile. The special day attracted over 3,000 people, probably the largest turn-out of any event in the Deer Park area in years. The day was warm and sunny, the heavy rains had let up but the fields were still flooded so shuttle bus service provided by the New Richmond School District ferried people from the parking lots at the Saint Croix County shops to the farm about 2 miles away. The video is 5 minutes and 35 seconds long.

The Deer Park Fire Department hosted a "water fight" with most area fire departments represented on Saturday, July 3. The tournament sharpens fire fighting skills with the repeated use of equipment and it builds comradery among departments. Deer Park often goes on fire calls to assist others. The contest took about an hour. New Richmond, Roberts and Balsam Lake took first, second and third place.
Jeff Croes was the referee and Deer Park provided the equipment.
The 4 minute 18 second video shows the friendly competition and the post-game wrap-up conversation. The Balsam Lake Fire Department hosted another contest later in the day.
