The North Country 4-H Club meets the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the basement at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Fun, games, community service, and planning for the fair are just some of the things the club enjoys!
North Country 4-H Fall 2008 and Winter 2009 Events
During the fall and winter months of 2008 and 2009, Deer Park's North Country 4-H club members have been busy. North Country 4-H received the 2008 Small Club award for Health/Safety/Environmental Education and the 2008 Small Club award for Community Service at the St. Croix County 4-H Leaders' Banquet.
North Country 4-H Club held their Annual Awards Banquet at the Laurel Supper Club in October. We also welcomed two new families to the club at this meeting.
North Country 4-H's Annual Halloween Party held many new games and fun stations for the community children to check out this year. Thanks to the Deer Park Lions Club for the monetary donation toward this fun event.
Special thanks to Jeff Croes, North Country 4-H Leader and volunteer Deer Park Fire Department for setting up the demonstration for the club to watch the fire department train with their new Jaws of Life equipment.
North Country 4-H Club had a great time making Thanksgiving favors for the Deer Park Seniors. Thanks to Char Croes for leading this project. The December craft was luminaries made for the Deer Park Community Seniors.
The winter season started out with the annual Halloween Party on October 25, 2008 at the Deer Park Community Center.
